Kate received her PhD in 2000 (Queensland University of Technology) for research in knowledge management and organisational learning in a bio-medical research consortium. Her journal article discussing psychosocial influences on knowledge sharing is influential. Kate is Adjunct Professor at QUT’s Faculty of Science and Technology , and has taught internationally at Masters Level for the Australian National Business School consortium of universities. Kate was a Member of the Standards Australia Committee that developed Australia’s knowledge management standard (AS5037 2005). Her 2006 chapter Knowledge DNA appears in DNA@Work, which was recognised by BRW as one of Australia’s top 50 management books. Kate has led post-graduate and executive education programs in knowledge and intellectual capital development for Mt Eliza Business School, as well as Master Classes in these topics in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India and New Zealand.
